Shooting Stars features Hawaii’s most talented performers, ages 8 to 16. The performance troupe has entertained audiences for more than 20 years with an extensive repertoire of show tunes and choreography. The group has staged their own productions of Disaster!, Little Shop of Horrors, Damn Yankees, 42nd Street, Cinderella, Hello Dolly!, Into the Woods and so much more. About Auditions.
The Shooting Stars is designed for young artists ages 8-16 who are ready to challenge themselves, grow their skills, and experience what it means to work as part of a dedicated theatre ensemble. We are looking for young artists who are ready to bring their unique voice to the ensemble and commit to becoming the very best performer they can be!
Please prepare a 1 minute cut of a Disney, classical or contemporary musical theatre song that shows off your vocal range and personality. Please bring sheet music in your proper key (no onsite transpositions). An accompanist will be provided. No recorded music or a cappella, please.
All auditioners will be asked to participate in the dance call at 2:30pm. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in, bathrooms are available onsite to change if needed. Please bring jazz and tap shoes, if you have them.
Headshots and resumes preferred, but not required.
Audition Sign Up. Auditions by appointment are preferred. “Drop ins” are permitted as time allows, but please do not expect to be seen immediately. Auditions will be held in the Diamond Head Theatre Rehearsal Hall at 520 Makapuu Avenue (rear parking lot/costume shop entrance).

Rehearsal Dates. Rehearsals are held at Diamond Head Theatre Year-Round! Rehearsals are normally 2 days a week with rehearsal times typically (but not limited to) Mondays – 5:30pm-7:30pm; and Saturdays – 1:00pm-5:15pm

Local shows have included Washington Place, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s ‘Ilima Awards, with the Honolulu POPS Concert, and in all 11 years of the Jim Nabors’ Christmas Show.
