A youth community of stars on the rise

Shooting Stars features Hawaii’s most talented performers, ages 8 to 16. The performance troupe has entertained audiences for more than 20 years with an extensive repertoire of show tunes and choreography. The group has also staged their own productions of Disaster!, Little Shop of Horrors, Damn Yankees, 42nd Street, Cinderella, Hello Dolly!, Into the Woods and so much more. Upcoming Auditions
Diamond Head Theatre’s Shooting Stars will hold auditions for performers, ages 8 to 16. We are looking for students who are ready to take their musical theatre training to the next level. The Shooting Stars focus on combining tap, jazz, acting and vocal techniques to create versatile performers.

Those who audition should come with sheet music in their own key and be ready to perform an age-appropriate song selection from Broadway or Disney. An accompanist will be provided. No transpositions on site, karaoke or acapella allowed.

For the dance audition, closed-toe shoe are required with jazz and tap shoes (if possible) preferred. Dress in clothes that allow for movement. No jeans.

Local shows have included Washington Place, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s ‘Ilima Awards, with the Honolulu POPS Concert, and in all 11 years of the Jim Nabors’ Christmas Show.
