A youth community of stars on the rise
Shooting Stars features Hawaii’s most talented performers, ages 8 to 16. The performance troupe has entertained audiences for more than 20 years with an extensive repertoire of show tunes and choreography. The group has staged their own productions of Disaster!, Little Shop of Horrors, Damn Yankees, 42nd Street, Cinderella, Hello Dolly!, Into the Woods and so much more. AUDITION FOR THE SHOOTING STARS
The Diamond Head Theatre Shooting Stars, our premier youth performance ensemble, will be holding auditions on Sunday, December 14th – and we invite young performers who are motivated, dedicated, and hungry to grow to join us.
The Shooting Stars program trains weekly in singing, dancing, and acting to grow confidence, professionalism, and ensemble leadership. Members perform throughout the year at community events, theatre showcases, and holiday productions. We are looking for students who are eager to learn, committed to their craft, and excited to be part of a supportive and uplifting performing arts ‘ohana.
Audition Requirements:
Ages: 8–16
Date: Sunday, December 14, 2025
Time: 2:00pm – 530pm
Where: DHT Rehearsal Hall
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Vocal: Prepare a 16–32 bar cut of a musical theatre or Disney song
Dance: Learn a short dance combination
Bring: Headshot & resume (school photos are welcome!), Something you can move in.

Local shows have included Washington Place, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s ‘Ilima Awards, with the Honolulu POPS Concert, and in all 11 years of the Jim Nabors’ Christmas Show.
