It’s always been a labor of love especially this Labor Day Weekend. We just celebrated all these fabulous friends who volunteer with us. More than a century ago we started as an all-volunteer organization and volunteers are still the driving force behind all that we do and are!

Theatre in a Scottish church? 🤨 The building is not a church, as the word “cathedral” may imply. The building was built in 1922 by the Christian Science organization. That same year it became the Scottish Rite Cathedral, home to the Scottish Rite Masons, one of a handful of lodges of Free and Accepted Masons in Hawai‘i. The Scottish Rite has been in Hawai‘i since 1874.

"I remember going to see Cinderella at @diamondheadtheatre as a little girl, waving my light up wand and dreaming of the day I would stand on that stage. It took seven auditions before getting into my first show, but I’m so glad I never gave up on my dream. Last summer, I performed in my 10th DHT production, and I’m so incredibly grateful to now call this space home. While it was emotional standing on stage, holding hands with my dearest friends and mentors, saying goodbye to our place of blissful escape, I feel honored to be a part of this family and so excited to see the magic of the new theatre come to life and to continue inspiring artists for generations to come! ✨."
