Celebrating the 2023 ‘Ilima Awards with a feast under the stars

The 25th Anniversary of the Honolulu Star Advertiser’s ‘Ilima Awards on October 9, 2023 was a night to remember with laughter, celebration and the best restaurants in Hawaii honored. Watch our video and savor some of our most delicious moments.

Diamond Head Theatre supporters mixed and mingled with the stars of The Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s ‘Ilima Awards, a signature fundraising event for Diamond Head Theatre. Proceeds supported the theatre’s productions and performing arts programs. The event was the first since the 2020 pandemic and celebrated Oahu’s best restaurants and their resilience. The evening featured a champagne Reception and Awards Presentation that delighted audiences with song and dance parody extravaganza starring Loretta Ables Sayre, Jody Bill, Emily North, Andrew Sakaguchi and Aiko Schick. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous celebration of award-winning cuisine from the best restaurants in town.
