Acting

STAGE COMBAT

Saturdays

Ages 13+: 12:45pm - 1:45pm

SPRING 2017 - RAPIER AND DAGGER
A fast and furious introduction to period stage fighting with an emphasis on safety and story-telling (i.e. acting the fight). Rapier and dagger is an exciting, two-handed fighting style, seen in plays like Romeo and Juliet or films like Pirates of the Caribbean.

Note that this is still a stage combat class, with an emphasis on safety and story-telling (i.e. acting the fight), NOT a sparring class. Everything you learn in this class will adhere to SAFD/DAI guidelines and be directly applicable to future theatrical combat work.

 No prior experience necessary.
