A hilarious screwball comedy, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT is an homage to a host of Jazz Age musicals, which were filled with songs, dances, and outlandish gags---in this musical, it’s all set to the superb score ("S'Wonderful", "Fascinating Rhythm", "But Not for Me") of George and Ira Gershwin!
Set in the 1920s, the show is the story of charming and wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter, who meets rough female bootlegger Billie Bendix the weekend of his wedding. Billie and her gang decide to hide cases of alcohol in Jimmy’s Long Island mansion. But when Jimmy, his wife-to-be and her prohibitionist family show up for the wedding, it gets a bit crazy!
