Diamond Head Theatre’s mission is to advance theatre arts
through education. We feel that mission is important. The value
of the arts on children and teens has been widely documented—how
it spills out into other areas of their lives. Recent studies
have shown that children who participate in the arts are 25% more
likely to report feeling satisfied with themselves; three times
more likely to win an award for school attendance; 31% more likely
to say they plan to continue their education after high school.
Not only children benefit from participating in the arts—adults
report healthier lives, increased mental acuity; a higher sense
of self worth from exposure and experience in the performing arts.
While not all of the students will become stars of the stage—some
might! And not all may appear on our own stage. But many do! Each
and every student will, however, have a marvelous time while learning
singing, dancing and acting in our classes.
