Guest directed by Greg Zane, guest choreographed by Tim Albrecht,
and with musical direction by Emmett Yoshioka, CINDERELLA will run
from December 1 - 17, 2006.
With music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein
II, DHT is pleased to again present the classic, CINDERELLA…a
musical filled with wonderful songs, wicked (but hilarious) stepsisters,
a lovingly pompous king and of course the glass-slippered heroine,
Cinderella. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring
Julie Andrews, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA was the
most widely viewed program in history. Its recreation in 1965 starring
Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation
to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true. Now as adapted for
the stage, with great warmth and more than a touch of laughter,
the hearts of children and adults alike still soar when the slipper
fits. Musical Highlights: “In My Own Little Corner”,
“Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful”, and
“Ten Minutes Ago”.
The show is sponsored by: The Paradise Yellow Pages, Bank of Hawaii,
Carolyn A. Berry, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu Star-Bulletin,
Athena Clinics, C.S. Wo & Sons, and Shiny Floors, Inc.
Celebrating its 92nd Anniversary Season, Diamond Head Theatre, heralded
